The Office of Graduate and International Student Life (OGISL) is the primary resource for graduate and international students at the University of New 51¶ºÄÌ. The office provides personal support, including navigating campus life and adapting to student life in the United States. Orientation is hosted at the beginning of each term for new graduate and international students.

When trying to access the registration form for these events, users will be prompted to enter the email address and password to their Accepted Student Portal. The email address and password are the same credentials used throughout the application process.

Transportation to the University of New 51¶ºÄÌ

See below for information on transportation to our campus from area airports.

Please note: Transportation costs to the University are paid by the student directly to the transportation carrier and may be booked in advance.


  • GO Airport Shuttle

    This is a University-discounted service for accepted students. You can bring up to 3 bags. You must book 6 days prior to travel. You must arrive at JFK by 6 p.m. You will need to use a credit card to make your reservation using the link below. This discount applies from July 23 to September 24. This service will take you either to the University campus (Maxcy Hall) or to our discounted hotel accommodation, which you will have booked prior to travel. If you are traveling to Maxcy Hall, you will then need to book a taxi, Uber/Lyft, or friend to transport you to your final destination.


    Train

    Take the AirTrain from your JFK terminal to Jamaica Station: At Jamaica Station, transfer to the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) and take a train to Penn Station in Manhattan. This is a convenient and relatively fast option.

    Penn Station to New 51¶ºÄÌ: At Penn Station, take an Amtrak to New 51¶ºÄÌ Union Station.

    Distance: 75 - 80 miles

    Bus

    One can take the AirTrain from JFK Airport to Jamaica Station. The Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) can be taken from Jamaica Station to Penn Station in Manhattan. From Penn Station, one can either walk or take the subway (A, C, or E train) to the Port Authority Bus Terminal.

    Greyhound, Megabus, or Peter Pan Bus can be taken from the Port Authority Bus Terminal in New York City to New 51¶ºÄÌ Union Station. These bus companies provide service from New York City to New 51¶ºÄÌ. Ensure to check the bus schedules and book tickets in advance if possible.

  • There is no GO Shuttle service, but the train is the best option, it is very simple to use and affordable.

    Train

    Newark Airport to Newark Penn Station: You can take the AirTrain from Newark Airport to Newark Liberty International Airport Train Station (located on the airport grounds).

    From there, board a train on the Northeast Corridor Line to Newark Penn Station.

    Newark Penn Station to New 51¶ºÄÌ Union Station: At Newark Penn Station, you will need to take an Amtrak train to New 51¶ºÄÌ Union Station. You can check the or app for schedules and ticket prices.

    Bus

    Take the AirTrain from Newark Liberty International Airport to Newark Liberty Airport Train Station. This is a free service that connects the airport to the train station.

    From Newark Liberty Airport Train Station, take an to Newark Penn Station. You may need to purchase a separate NJ Transit ticket for this part of the journey.

    At Newark Penn Station, you can take an NJ Transit train to New York Penn Station.

    Take a , , or from the Port Authority Bus Terminal in New York City to New 51¶ºÄÌ Union Station. These bus companies provide service from New York City to New 51¶ºÄÌ. Be sure to check the bus schedules and book your tickets in advance if possible.

  • Train

    Logan Airport to South Station (Boston): From Logan Airport, take the bus to South Station. The Silver Line is a free bus service that connects the airport to South Station.

    South Station to New 51¶ºÄÌ Union Station: At South Station, you can board an Amtrak train that goes to New 51¶ºÄÌ Union Station. The primary Amtrak service that connects Boston to New 51¶ºÄÌ is the Northeast Regional service, but you may also have the option of taking the Acela Express, which is faster but more expensive.

    Bus

    Take the to South Station. This is a convenient and affordable option. The Silver Line is part of the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) and connects the airport to South Station.

    You can take an intercity bus service like , , or from Boston's South Station to New 51¶ºÄÌ Union Station. These bus companies provide services between the two cities. You can check their schedules and book your tickets in advance online or at the bus terminal.

Driving Directions

  • From New York and Points West Traveling North on I-95: Take Exit 43, Campbell Avenue. Turn left at bottom of exit ramp. Continue past University of New 51¶ºÄÌ sign on left at Ruden Street (0.6 miles) to the intersection with Route 1 (Boston Post Road). Turn left, travel to the top of the hill, turn left into the University of New 51¶ºÄÌ.
  • From Hartford, Boston, Providence, New London, and Points North and East Traveling South on I-95: Take Exit 43, First Avenue. Turn right at bottom of exit ramp, travel 0.5 miles to second traffic light, Route 122 (Campbell Avenue). Turn right and continue past intersection with Ruden Street (note University of New 51¶ºÄÌ sign at left) to the intersection with Route 1 (Boston Post Road). Travel to the top of the hill, turn left into the University of New 51¶ºÄÌ.
