Registration for off-campus trips will open on Charger Connection on Tuesday August 27, at 12 p.m. for undergraduate students only. Trip seats are available on a first come, first served basis.

    6 p.m. Welcome Week Kick Off! Relax with us before the First Day of Classes! Come join us in the Bixler/Gerber Quad for bracelet making, succulent pot decorating, sand art, and chill out with some Ice Cream! Bixler/Gerber Quad

  • All Day Q&A: If you have any questions during the first two days of classes (Monday-Tuesday), be sure to find a student located around campus between 7:30 a.m. - 7:30 p.m. wearing bright yellow t-shirts - they will be able to answer your questions!

    10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Room Decor Sale Looking for a way to decorate your space? Come shop with us and see how you can make your space yours! Bartels Patio
    12 p.m. Power Your Semester - Snack Giveaway Happy First Day of Classes! To celebrate, Orientation and Transition Leaders will be walking all around campus from 12pm-4pm with a snack cart! Stop by, say, hi, ask a question or two, and grab a snack on your way to class! Campus-wide
    1 p.m. FSL 101 ★ Interested in finding out about our recognized Fraternity and Sorority Life (FSL) organizations? Join the Center for Student Engagement, Leadership, and Orientation to explore involvement opportunities and ask current members questions. Westside Hall 111-112
    5 p.m. RecSpo Come and join us at RecSpo to learn more about our programs and offerings! This will be a fun opportunity for you to interact with our club sport leaders at the club sport fair, play lots of games, win prizes and more. Beckerman Recreation Center
    6 p.m. ChargerBucks Kickoff with ResLife Kickoff this year’s ChargerBucks and Passport Program with the Office of Residential Life. Enjoy music and wild west themed crafts and activities on the Bixler/Gerber Quad. This event is open to all students. Feel free to dress the part! Bixler/Gerber Quad

    12 p.m. Mid-Day Game Break Commuter/Off-Campus students are invited to come to the commuter lounge for an afternoon of board and card games with the CA staff. Lunch will be served. BSAC Patio
    1 p.m. Learn How to Land those Future Opportunities Join Career Development Center staff for conversations and giveaways as you learn personalized ways to land future experiential opportunities. Moulton Lounge
    4 p.m. SCOPE Inflatable Fun Fest ★ SCOPE is hosting an inflatable fun fest where students will be able to play lawn games, enjoy inflatables, and make their own potted plant. Inflatables include a waterslide and a mechanical bull. Students will be able to enjoy music, games, cotton candy, and a fun time back to school with friends, new and old. Bixler/Gerber Quad

    12 p.m. Mosaic Reception & Showcase The Myatt Center for Diversity & Inclusion hosts the Mosaic Reception to welcome all members of the campus community and celebrate our multicultural diversity. The program aims to introduce incoming & returning students to leaders in the multicultural community, celebrate our differences and help students identify campus resources and opportunities.     5 p.m. Get Your Game On! Looking for a quiet night in? Visit the Game Room in Bergami Hall for video games, board games, pool, ping pong, and more! Bergami Game Room and Bergami Patio

    11 a.m. - 3 p.m. Putt for a Prize at the One Stop Come by the One Stop to get to know us and what we do. We’re more than just billing and registration, and we want to get to know you, too! Putt for a chance to win One Stop gear, gift cards, and more… you can’t win if you don’t come say, “Hello!” We can’t wait to meet you! OneStop Patio
    7:30 p.m. Glow Party Join the Office of Residential Life for some glow fun! From seesaws, swings, ping pong, cotton candy and so much more, there will be plenty of glow activities for all to enjoy!  Bixler/Gerber Quad

    3 - 5 p.m. Involvement Fair Looking to get involved on campus? Come out and meet members of our 100+ Recognized Student Organizations (RSOs) and other campus partners!  Maxcy Quad
    8 p.m. Outdoor Movie: Inside Out 2 Start the long weekend with an outdoor movie on the Bixler/Gerber Quad. Enjoy “Inside Out 2” with friends- popcorn and snacks provided! We encourage you all to bring chairs, blankets, or towels for your comfort! Event is open to all undergraduate and graduate students.
    “Inside Out 2” Synopsis:
    Inside Out 2 returns to the mind of newly minted teenager Riley just as headquarters is undergoing a sudden demolition to make room for something entirely unexpected: new Emotions! Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust, who've long been running a successful operation by all accounts, aren't sure how to feel when Anxiety shows up. And it looks like she's not alone.     1 p.m. Charger Pride Tie-Dye ★ Show your Charger Pride by joining us for our annual Charger Pride tie-dye event. We can’t wait to see everyone wear their blue and yellow tie-dye shirts all around campus! Bixler/Gerber Quad
    6 p.m. Trivia Night ★ Do you think you know a bunch of random facts? Do you want to be entertained as some people win it all? Bring your friends, or come and meet some new ones! Join us for an interactive and high energy trivia night with snacks, friends and fun. German Club

  • Time Event Description Location
    10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Mystic Aquarium ★ Visit one of the nation's leading aquariums and home to Beluga whales, African penguins, and Steller sea lions. After touring the Aquarium, you can enjoy shops and restaurants in Historic Old Mystic Village on your own!

    12 p.m. Projects for Pets ★ Do you want to give back to the community? We invite you to join us to make different toys for animals that will be donated to a local animal shelter. Lunch will be provided to those who participate! Moulton Lounge
    6 p.m. Karaoke Night ★ Time to sing your heart out at Karaoke! Join us for a night of singing, laughter, and snacks! German Club
