About Ellen

Dr. Ellen Belitzky earned a Ph.D. in Technology Management and has extensive industry experience supporting Operations, Marketing, and Finance functions as a business intelligence and information technology leader. A career in corporate IT enabled practical application of Dr. Belitzky's certifications in Project Management (Project Management Institute PMP) and Quality Management (American Society for Quality Manager of Quality/Organization Excellence). Significant technical and management experience in the consumer-packaged goods industry with multiple global companies provides a wide network of colleagues and a vast set of projects from which to relate course material to the aspirations of her students.

With a BS in Economics (The Wharton School), an MS in Education (University of Pennsylvania), and an MBA (University of Connecticut), Dr. Belitzky leverages a well-rounded academic background with past professional positions ranging from programmer and technical specialist to project manager and program leader. Prior to the University of New 51¶ºÄÌ, Dr. Belitzky managed a major corporate integration project for data analytics and held adjunct teaching appointments at several universities in Connecticut. Her research interests focus on health care, education, and social media as they pertain to business analytics and ethical business strategy. She is currently studying Universal Design for Learning (UDL) in higher education for business.
