Project Management Certificate
Since 2009, the University of New 51¶ºÄÌ has offered a comprehensive, 30-week, non-credit program teaching the fundamentals of project management concepts. Taught by certified PMP® (Project Management Professional) instructors, the certificate program was designed for local professionals looking for an introduction to the field as well as seasoned project managers looking for a more formal education in Project Management (PM). In 2019 we integrated a PMP® certification exam preparation component to the program made up of 5 additional classes for students wishing to pursue this additional Project Management Institute (PMI) granted certification.
Our nine-month non-credit program consists of 5 six-week modules plus 1 five-week test preparation module; all six need to be completed in order to receive the University’s PM certificate.
Originally setup as in class instructions on our main and satellite campuses, we’ve reorganized the program to align with the University’s distance learning model. Since 2017, we’ve incorporated new videoconferencing capabilities for every class that allows attendee flexibility for self directed learning, leverages an expansive library of educational videos, and class recordings for later reference / clarification / reinforcement. This guarantees maximum value returned to every student and optimal knowledge transfer in an individual fit for purpose manner.
