Nutrition and Dietetics Programs Goals and Outcomes
Program Goal 1: Graduates will be prepared for acceptance into a supervised-practice program through individualized advising, mentoring, and hands-on learning.
- Objective 1.1: At least 80 percent of program students, enrolled as juniors, will complete the program/degree requirements within three years.
- Objective 1.2: At least 80 percent of graduates, via an exit survey, will rate their experiential-learning proficiency as meeting or exceeding their preparation requirements toward acceptance into a supervised-practice program.
- Objective 1.3: At least 80 percent of program graduates are expected to apply for admission to a supervised-practice program within 12 months of graduation.
- Objective 1.4:At least 80 percent of graduates who apply will be accepted into a supervised-practice program within 12 months of graduation.
- Objective 1.5: At least 80 percent of graduates who are accepted into a supervised practice program, will rate their advising and mentoring experiences in the Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) as meeting or exceeding their preparation requirements toward acceptance into a supervised-practice program.
Program Goal 2: Graduates will be prepared with the required knowledge and skills for employment through the effective use of University of New 51¶ºÄÌ facilities and resources.
- Objective 2.1: At least 80 percent of graduates, via an exit survey, will rate the University’s Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) academic preparation (excluding their individual GPA) as meeting or exceeding all knowledge requirement competencies for acceptance into a supervised-practice program.
- Objective 2.2: At least 80 percent of graduates (following a supervised-practice program), after taking the registered dietician registration exam for the first time, will pass the exam (if statistically significant numbers are evaluated).
