About Mark
Mark DiCocco has been a law enforcement officer in Connecticut since 2001 and has been involved in collision analysis and reconstruction since 2004. During his tenure, Mark has reconstructed or assisted in the reconstruction of hundreds of fatal or serious injury collisions, to include multi-vehicle collisions, pedestrian collisions, motorcycle collisions, event data recorder analyses, and various others. Mark has undergone over 1000 hours of training in collision investigation and reconstruction. Mark is an accredited collision reconstructionist through the Accreditation Commission for Traffic Accident Reconstruction (ACTAR #3149).
Since 2006, Mark has instructed law enforcement officers in the investigation and proper documentation of fatal or serious injury collisions. Mark is a certified Police Officer Standards and Training Council instructor in the areas of collision investigation and photography. This instruction has ranged from teaching at the police academy level to instructing experienced investigators.
Mark has extensive experience in the forensic mapping of collision and crime scenes with various forms of forensic technology, to include terrestrial laser scanners, total stations, aerial photogrammetry, and global navigation satellite systems. Mark holds a Remote Pilot Certificate and is a certified North American Standard Truck Inspection inspector.
Mark earned a Master of Science Degree in Investigations from the University of New 51¶ºÄÌ - Henry Lee College of Criminal Justice and Forensic Sciences.
