About Kenneth

Kenneth is a dedicated educator with a passion for teaching mathematics, science, and STEM education. He began his career in 1987 at West 51¶ºÄÌ High School, where he taught high school chemistry and physics. A West 51¶ºÄÌ native, Kenneth attended Notre Dame High School, which is located behind Haraugari Hall.

As his career progressed, Kenneth expanded his teaching repertoire to include mathematics, which he found immensely rewarding. He spent 35 years in public education, during which he held various leadership roles, including Department Chair, Curriculum Supervisor, and Principal. The last 18 years of his career in public education were spent as Supervisor of Mathematics for New 51¶ºÄÌ Public Schools. This role allowed him to build valuable partnerships and work on innovative projects with colleagues such as Dr. Matt Griffiths and Dr. Rivers.

Kenneth's experience in higher education began in 1995 when he started as an adjunct professor. He taught at several esteemed institutions, including Southern Connecticut State University, Yale University, Quinnipiac University, Albertus Magnus College, and the University of New 51¶ºÄÌ. In the fall of 2023, Kenneth became a Practitioner in Residence at the University of New 51¶ºÄÌ, focusing on mathematics and STEM education.

Kenneth is known for his use of technology in the classroom and his belief in the power of humor to enhance learning. His teaching philosophy emphasizes helping students become life-long learners and problem solvers.

Outside of his professional work, Kenneth lives in Milford with his family and two dogs. He enjoys a variety of activities, such as cooking, swimming, and traveling. Kenneth is also an enthusiast of classic cars and often spends his leisure time exploring local beaches and scenic routes.
