Anil Shah

Anil Shah '86 M.S. is founder and president of MRCC, a large information technology solutions and staffing firm headquartered in Billerica, Mass., with additional offices in India.

Expertise

Mr. Shah has more than 28 years of software engineering experience. MRCC has delivered more than 700 projects to its clients. His company employs more than 1,000 employees worldwide. MRCC's clients include many Fortune 500 companies, such as Grumman, General Electric, Lehman Brothers, and Goldman Sachs, as well as universities such as MIT and Harvard. MRCC is also a major designer of computer systems for e-learning, working with Houghton Mifflin and other major publishers of e-books and products such as Blackboard. Mr. Shah previously worked for Digital Equipment Corporation (later acquired by Compaq/HP), where he was involved in creating a flight simulator for Boeing with input from Chuck Yeager, the first pilot in history confirmed to have exceeded the speed of sound in level flight. After graduating from the University of New 51¶ºÄÌ, Mr. Shah worked for Trade Net in Guilford, Connecticut, designing the software to operate the Stockholm stock exchange.

Community Service

Mr. Shah was elected to the University of New 51¶ºÄÌ's Board of Governors in February 2020. He serves as a trustee of the Kutchi Jain Foundation, a charitable organization in India. He helped fund the development of MRCC Park, a community of 66 homes for low-income families in Nalasopala, Mumbai, India. He is a former member of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Advisory Board at the University of New 51¶ºÄÌ.

Education

Mr. Shah earned a degree in mechanical engineering from SATI India. He earned a master's degree in computer science from the University of New 51¶ºÄÌ.
